Bradford Asylum seeker/Refugee Support Project
Bradford Asylum Seeker Refugee Support Project (BARS)
Inclusive Volunteering is working in partnership with Bradford African Community & Bradford Refugee Forum to support asylum seekers and refugees into volunteering. Volunteering has many benefits if you are new to Bradford:
-
Meeting new people
-
Getting to know the local community
-
Practising your English
-
Using your skills to benefit others or learning
-
Reducing loneliness and isolation
We provide short, interactive “Introduction to Volunteering” sessions exploring what volunteering is, how it benefits volunteers and what to expect when you start volunteering. We offer one-to-one appointments at our office and a number of community venues across the district. Please get in touch for full details.
We can also provide variety of support (tailored to your needs), such as finding suitable volunteers roles, interpreting, helping to complete forms, accompanying you to projects and more.
The support we offer is tailored to individual need and could include but is not limited to:
-
Confidential appointment space

-
