Befriending Volunteer Roles:

The Royal Voluntary Association needs volunteers to visit isolated older people in their own homes for an hour or two a week.

Become a prisoner befriender writing to people with no family or even, on occasion, making visits to people in prison.

Help build up the confidence of someone with a disability so they can take up a new sport.

Become a telephone befriender and give support to carers and vulnerable people in order to reduce their isolation.

Support DeafBlind UK and help people with hearing/sight loss by visiting them and helping them to go out more.
