Bradford Volunteer Centre is on the first floor of Bradford Voluntary Services Centre in Bradford City Centre. To access the building press the “Volunteer Centre” buzzer. It is two doors down from Tesco Metro.
Transport: The building is well served by buses from all areas of the city and many drop off on Sunbridge Road or adjoining streets. Bradford Interchange train and bus station is 5 minutes walk away and Forster Square train station is a 5 minute walk also.
Walking directions from the Interchange are:
Exit via the glass door next to the Travel Centre/cash machines. Walk down hill towards the Town Hall type building with large clock called City Hall. City Hall has a large square in front with a Chip shop on the corner. We are five shops uphill from the chip shop.
Walking Directions from Forster Square train station:
Exit via the cobbled uphill ramp towards the Midland Hotel. Cross over the road towards and past HSBC bank and entrance to the Broadway and walk along the road with lots of bus stops (Market Street) and banks until you get to the Town Hall type building with large clock called City Hall. City Hall has a large square in front with a Chip shop on the corner. We are five shops uphill from the chip shop.
Parking: There is metred on-street parking outside the building on Sunbridge Road. You can park for free for three hours at Forster Square Retail Park which is located next to Forster Square Train Station which is well signed. It is five minute walk to the Volunteer Centre. The nearest car park is the NCP, to find this car park follow the Interchange Train Station signs then look for the Bradford Hotel, the NCP car park entrance to next is the hotel. The car park is opposite the Town Hall type building with large clock called City Hall. To walk to us from City Hall go to the large pedestrianised square in front of City Hall with a Chip shop on the corner. We are five shops uphill from the chip shop.
Other Access Information: Step free access and parking for disabled people is available at the rear of the building in Aldermanbury. There is a ‘Centre for Voluntary Services’ sign above the red double doors. Press the Volunteer Centre buzzer and we will open the door. The automatic doors open outwards. The lift is to the left, there are no steps at this level. Once inside the lift press the 1 button for the first floor. The entrance to the Volunteer Centre is opposite the lift entrance.
