Ever thought about volunteering? It is great way to meet new people, have fun, fill in gaps on a CV, learn new skills and build a stronger community. There are over 1,120 choices here in Bradford to suit your skills and lifestyle. If you can spare even an hour once a month we have the role for you. Interested in volunteering? Come and join us at this year’s People Can Festival of Volunteering on Tuesday 4th June. Meet 20 local groups all of which are recruiting for volunteers and discover what a wide range of volunteer roles are available in Bradford. There will be entertainment over the lunchtime period with music from the The Pantasy Steel Band, plus live DJ sets from S.O.R.M students DJ Connor & Rave Repeat. These wonderful local musicians will bring their different styles of music to create that Festival atmosphere together with BCB radio roadshow. This wonderful event is absolutely free so come and join us in City Park, Bradford between 11.00am and 3.00pm and find out more about volunteering locally.
Are you a volunteer coordinator, or someone who manages volunteers? Are you interested in meeting people in similar roles, working in the voluntary and community sector around Bradford to share best practice, discuss local updates relevant to the sector and for moral support? Then you are invited to the Bradford Volunteer Managers Forum at Bradford University Student Central.

The Volunteering Kitemark is a certificate awarded to organisations that show their volunteering programmes provide the best experience possible for volunteers. It benchmarks the quality of your volunteer management and involvement, proves and improves the effectiveness of your work with volunteers and enhances your organisation’s reputation. Applying for the Kitemark is free and is valid for two years.
